The U.S. government terminated the contracts of two immigration detention facilities in 2021, but none of these are worth mentioning

Home detention facilities that were previously closed have reopened to adults, and ICE leadership has said it plans to repurpose closed private prisons as ICE detention facilities under Biden's executive order. Without a clear and coordinated plan to permanently end detention, blatant government violations of health and human rights will continue.
