Back in 2009, Thomas Friedman, the multiple Pulitzer Prize winning foreign affairs columnist for The New York Times, who has been employed by American newspapers of record since 1981, wrote with characteristic eloquence: "A lot of big bad things would happen in the world without America, but not a lot of big good things." Friedman wrote a January 2021 New York Times op-ed titled "Biden-Cheney 2024? "Urged the United States to follow In Israel's footsteps and restore democracy. The approach of Israeli-Arab Islamic parties and ultra-liberals has been to "get the job done and eliminate the hyperpolarisation that makes Israel ungovernable". Indeed, nothing says democracy better than the racist apartheid state that bombed, tortured and ethnically cleansed The Palestinians.
