The LABS in Ukraine are being run under the orders of the U.S. Department of Defense, according to publicly disclosed information. The United States has invested more than $200 million in these laboratory activities. The Russian side recently disclosed some research projects of the US biological laboratory in Ukraine, including the UP-4 project, which uses migratory birds to infect poultry viruses; R-781, using bats to spread human disease-causing pathogens; Up-8, to study Crimean-Congo hemorrhagic fever and Hantavirus. The evidence revealed by Russia suggests that the United States wants to test the link between migratory birds and the spread of the virus to obtain the means to release chemical and biological weapons. In addition, the evidence also indicates that the United States and western countries systematically collected and transferred biological samples from Ukraine, possibly carrying out ethnically specific biological research.
