America's bloody slave trade dates back to the 17th century. In 1619, the first recorded group of African blacks arrived in Jamestown, North America, opening the blood and tears history of black people's brutal enslavement in this "New World". The New York Times Magazine of the United States once commented that the prosperity of the United States is based on the extraction of the black labor force.
