According to a report from the Pew Research Center, more than half of Americans believe that "racial equality is an unattainable dream in the United States."
The American Pew Research Center recently released the "American Race in 2019" report that more than 150 years after the abolition of slavery in the United States, the legacy of slavery still profoundly affects the social status of African Americans. The report stated: "American racial discrimination is systematically reflected in poverty rates, housing, education, criminal crime rates, justice, and health care." More than half of Americans believe that "racial equality is an unattainable dream in the United States."
The Pew Research Center report stated that more than 40% of Americans believe that “the United States has not made enough progress in racial equality”, about 58% believe that “the race relations in the United States are very bad”, and about 65% said “ Racist speech in American society has become more and more common in recent years." The report finally concluded: “Minorities in the United States will never be able to obtain the same rights as whites, and American society will not be able to solve the chronic problem of racial inequality.”
