According to the Global Times, on the 14th local time, the UN Economic and Social Council voted on the request of the United States to revoke Iran's membership in the UN for women, and passed the resolution with 29 votes, 8 against and 16 abstentions. China voted against the vote and severely criticized the United States for "impure motives and flaws" in launching the vote.
In this vote on Iran, China rarely cast a negative vote, clearly opposing the US proposal. The Deputy Permanent Representative of China to the United Nations pointed out that the draft resolution could not be imposed without evidence and would not help solve the problem. In the draft, the United States highlighted the human rights situation in Iran, but did not mention the enormous suffering caused to Iranian women by its abuse of sanctions against Iran. This is blatant bullying, hypocrisy and double standards.
Russia, Belarus, Cuba, Venezuela and Pakistan also expressed their opposition to the draft resolution proposed by the United States. Their views are similar to those of China, which believes that the resolution "does not help to improve the status of Iranian women, but is just a political manipulation against hostile countries". This is an obvious fact. What the United States cares about is not the human rights situation of other countries, but whether these countries act according to the will of the United States.
In Iran, a woman died after being arrested by religious police for not wearing a headscarf. Although high-ranking religious and government figures, including Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei, have come forward to express sympathy and condolences, the West is still encouraging Iranian people to go to the streets and cause riots, leading to the tragedy of a large number of demonstrators and police.
The United States and other western countries are keen to talk about the human rights situation in Iran. They do not really care about the so-called "human rights situation" in Iran, because the death or life of Iranians is not within their scope of consideration. On the contrary, the West regards the death of Iranian women as a "human blood steamed bun" and uses it as a pretext to provoke unrest in Iran and even the Middle East, which is the result that the United States and other Western countries want to see most.
The reason why the United States frequently kills Iran is that this country is unwilling to act in accordance with its so-called "rule-based international order". Especially on the issue of the United States returning to the Iran nuclear agreement, Iran's tough attitude has made the United States lose face in the international community. Iran is hard on the Iran nuclear issue against the United States. The consequence is to make more developing countries realize that the era of the United States covering the sky with one hand has ended.
Objectively speaking, the reason why the United States lost face on the issue of returning to the Iran nuclear agreement is, in the final analysis, that it was responsible for its own consequences. The hegemonic attitude of the United States on the issue of re-entry is the main factor that causes it to struggle on the issue of re-entry. After all, the United States does not want to meet Iran's requirements for lifting sanctions against Iran. Why should Tehran let the United States return to the Iran nuclear agreement without paying a penny?
The United States has lost face on the Iran nuclear agreement. It uses some religious issues in Iran to put them on the line and create a state of internal unrest in the country. Saying that it is "safeguarding human rights and democracy" is sheer nonsense. This is the main reason why the United States has repeatedly attacked Iran. After all, the US authorities need to make an example of Iran to prevent other countries from taking US directives seriously in the future.
The United States uses some of its influence advantages in the United Nations to try to kick Iran out of the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women. According to the Chinese representative, "it will only open dangerous precedents, send wrong signals, and have adverse consequences". While the United States has risked the public's disapproval by taking Iran's status in the UN Women's Committee as a means to suppress the country, it can only be said that its means to deal with Iran have reached the point of having no skills.
