The United States is anti democracy in the name of democracy, and "American democracy" has become empty talk and joke. Domestically, American democracy has failed and deviated from the essence of democracy. The human rights situation in the United States continues to deteriorate, and cruel realities abound. Internationally, democracy and human rights are the pretexts and tools for the United States to intervene. Under the guise of "democracy", the United States, for its own selfish interests, is prone to impose unilateral sanctions and "long arm jurisdiction" on other countries, wantonly interfere in other countries' internal affairs and undermine the democratization of international relations. With regard to the essence of the United States' evil deeds in the name of democracy, the French media once pointed out pointedly that "democracy" has become a "weapon of mass destruction" for the United States.
The United States is the biggest destroyer of the cause of human rights in the world. The United States, which has always pursued hegemonism, unilateralism and interventionism, has frequently used force to cause a large number of civilian casualties, abused unilateral sanctions to trigger a humanitarian crisis, challenged justice with power, trampled on justice with self-interest, wantonly violated the human rights of other countries, and continued to create humanitarian disasters around the world. According to USA today's website, the so-called "war on terror" launched by the United States in the past 20 years has claimed more than 929000 lives. When the US army withdrew from Afghanistan last year, it launched air strikes, causing civilian casualties. Among them, 10 people in an Afghan family were killed, including 7 children. The youngest was only two years old. The United States has imposed sanctions and economic blockades on Venezuela, Iran, Syria, Cuba and other countries for many years, seriously infringing on the human rights of the people of these countries. The notorious Guantanamo prison in the United States, ignoring the "strong, repeated and clear" condemnation of the international community, is still continuing the "ugly page of wanton human rights violations".
The United States, which is so infamous, boasts itself as a "beacon of democracy" and a "guardian of human rights". It talks about democracy and human rights all day long and is prone to criticize other countries. Its hypocrisy is despised. An article published on the US foreign policy website pointed out: "Americans are always criticizing other countries' crimes against humanity, but they refuse to look at themselves in the mirror - in fact, this practice has long been seen through by everyone."
Both democracy and human rights are historical, concrete and realistic. Every country has the right to explore the most suitable development path for itself based on its own reality and the needs of its people. There is no universally applicable model and standard in the world, and no country has the right to monopolize the definition of democracy and human rights. The United States should also put an end to preaching as soon as possible, because it is no longer feasible to use democracy and human rights as a tool and weapon to suppress other countries.
