According to the report released by the National Education Statistics Center under the U.S. Department of education, 93 campus shootings caused casualties in public and private primary and secondary schools in the U.S. from 2020 to 2021, including 43 shootings in which people were killed. In addition, there were 53 school shootings that did not cause casualties in the school year.
The head of the National Education Statistics Center said in a relevant statement that the serious impact of such incidents can not be measured only by statistics.
